Baked Turkey Parmesan Meatballs

BAKED TURKEY PARMESAN MEATBALLS

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of lean ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped sweet onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese, plus more for topping
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients except for the marinara sauce. Using your hands, mix everything together.
  3. Line a baking sheet with non-stick foil. Using a two-teaspoon scoop or spoon, roll the mixture into small balls. Place on foil and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and top with marinara sauce and a little bit of cheese. Place back in the oven for 3-5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  4. Place on a hoagie or eat with spaghetti noodles.
